SNC-Lavalin ProFac Inc, one of Canada’s leading infrastructure management service providers, has been awarded the building operations contract for the new Calgary Courts Centre, slated for completion by summer of 2007. The courthouse will be the largest building of its kind in North America.

SNC-Lavalin ProFac will provide all of the operations and maintenance for the Calgary Courts Centre for a 30-year period. The Calgary Courts Centre encompasses approximately 93,000 square metres including two atrium-linked towers with a 24-floor north tower and a 20-floor south tower, as well as an underground parkade.

“We are very excited about this new contract and especially about the opportunity to work with the Government of Alberta,” says Michael Winter, President and CEO of SNC-Lavalin ProFac. “The contract will also bring steady, long-term jobs to the Calgary region, and add to the local economy.”

SNC-Lavalin ProFac currently manages approximately 7.4 million square metres of space in over 6,500 buildings throughout Canada.

SNC-Lavalin ProFac is a wholly owned subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC), one of the leading groups of engineering and construction companies in the world, a global leader in the ownership and management of infrastructure, and a key player in facilities and operations management.
