CREATION OF SNC-LAVALIN FRANCE
Jean-Claude Pingat, Chief Executive Officer of SNC-Lavalin France, announces that, during the first quarter of 2003, SNC-Lavalin Group’s companies in France will become subsidiaries of SNC-Lavalin France.
The companies concerned are Pingat Ingénierie, with a staff of 210 working in offices in Reims (head office), Paris, Lyon, Lille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Troyes, Auxerre, Nevers, and Budapest, Hungary; Boplan Ingénierie, with a staff of 100 working in offices in Nantes (head office), Cholet, Angers, Quimper and Saint-Nazaire-Montoir (SECA STRUCTURES); and Eurotec, an engineering consulting firm with a staff of 40 in Boissy St Léger, Ile de France (94).
“SNC-LAVALIN France’s role is to bring together, organize and develop the skills, products and disciplines of its constituent companies and of those that will join in the future,” said Mr. Pingat. “In order to better manage our numerous activities, we will be organized into three large operational units which will coordinate the companies’ activities under three broad categories.”
Agrifood: An industry sector in which Pingat and Boplan are leaders in France, will spearhead the Industrial Process Engineering unit which also includes Biopharmaceuticals
Building and Industrial Engineering: Will be responsible for industrial, commercial and private tertiary buildings, as well as logistics
Building, Infrastructure and Transportation Engineering: Brings together the expertise in these areas throughout France, focusing mainly on public markets
“Under this new structure”, continued M. Pingat, “SNC-LAVALIN France has optimized its collective knowledge and experience, and is in a position to offer its clients local service based on the geographic networks built up by each of these companies”.
SNC-LAVALIN France has a total of 350 employees, a network of 16 offices, and consolidated annual revenues of 45 million Euros.
“The creation of SNC-LAVALIN France fulfills our goal to be one of the major engineering players in France,” concluded Mr. Pingat.
