SNC-Lavalin ProFac Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by The Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada to provide facility management services for its investment real estate portfolio.

SNC-Lavalin is pleased to announce the acquisition of Minerconsult Engenharia, a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm of approximately 1000 professionals based in Belo Horizonte, the capital of mining and metallurgical engineering activities in Brazil.

SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a lump-sum engineering and procurement contract by Kazzinc JSC (a division of Glencore) for a new sulphuric acid plant, which will be an integral part of Kazzinc's new copper smelter in Ust-Kamenogorsk in eastern Kazakhstan. The contract is valued at over CAN $60 million (approximately EUR42 million).

SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (TSX:SNC) announced its results today for the third quarter and nine-month period ended September 30, 2007.

SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Company, to develop, install & commission Distribution Management Systems (DMS) for its electricity distribution network. The new DMS systems will control California's electricity distribution network for Northern and Central California using SNC-Lavalin's GENe systems. They will be installed and operated from regional distribution centres in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, and in Northern and Central California.
