OCP is the world’s largest exporter of phosphates and derivatives with sole responsibility for the production and sale of Moroccan phosphate resources. To help OCP increase efficiency and flexibility at its current and future projects, GTS designed an organizational structure for each of its client’s 35 plants. GTS helped redefine roles, responsibilities and competencies for all jobs, and determine the number of employees required per position to meet productivity targets.
A customized training program was then developed for all technical positions to support OCP’s objective of demonstrating world-class competencies through training and certification. Using the most recent advancements in adult learning principles, GTS developed learning tools to create a catalogue with thousands of hours of course material. It then provided training through traditional classroom settings and e-learning environments, as well as simulators for both chemical processes and heavy equipment handling.
