Essential Services for Essential Infrastructure
SNC-Lavalin was awarded a five-year operations and maintenance contract with the San Diego County Water Authority for the Lake Hodges pumped storage hydroelectric facility in Escondido, California. SNC-Lavalin generates power at Lake Hodges during peak demand with water from the Olivenhain reservoir, and then replenishes the reservoir in off-peak periods to maintain the delicate balance required to meet both potable water demands and emergency needs.
SNC-Lavalin is fully focused on making the plant as available as possible, with the requirement to frequently troubleshoot controls or subsystems, Its team has consistently maintained the required uptime and is currently exceeding contractual requirements with greater than 98 percent availability.
Health and Safety First and Always
SNC-Lavalin has worked hard to maintain excellent levels of health and safety at the plant. Its team has participated in a number of safety initiatives in order to meet California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CAL-OSHA) requirements, and maintain standards among our operation staff, vendors and subcontractors who work on the site.
