Amy Lezala will present her paper, titled Standardisation of Minimal Data Collection for Condition Monitoring and Performance Management in the Australian Rail Industry. This paper calls on the industry to set a minimal level of data collection for the Australian railway industry with regards to condition monitoring of assets. The intention is to bring all stakeholders to the same minimal maturity of data collection and allow for a common language across the industry.

Jade Kiang will present his paper on Rail crashworthiness standards in the digital age – should Australians drive instead? Jade will discuss the current crashworthiness design standards used by the Australian rail industry. He will also explore the design criteria and crash scenarios considered for design purposes in terms of adequacy and relevance to the Australian rail environment.
Wednesday, November 22, 3:00p.m., RTAA Stream
Daniel Rabson will present his paper on Asset Management - Tailoring Maintenance to Deliver Business Efficiency, which will provide an overview of Strategic Asset Management and outline the importance of planning maintenance activities within the context of overall business performance. The paper will also demonstrate how this process is being enabled by other emerging industry trends, especially the increasing focus on data collection and analytics.
