SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) is pleased to announce its partnership with the McCord Museum for the Notman, A Visionary Photographer exhibition that will showcase the career of William Notman, the first internationally acclaimed Canadian photographer whose innovative modern approach propelled him to fame in the nineteenth-century.
“We are proud to partner with the McCord Museum and celebrate the career of Notman—a noteworthy Canadian photographer who personally documented the construction of the Victoria Bridge in the late 1800s,” said Isabelle Perras, Senior Vice-President, Communications, SNC-Lavalin. “As a member company of the consortium that is designing, building, financing and maintaining the New Champlain Bridge Corridor project, we recognize the degree of precision that was required to build the Victoria Bridge as well as the role Notman played in its inauguration. Visitors will have a unique chance to see the impressive model of the new Champlain Bridge at the museum.”
Having contributed to Montreal’s landscape for the past 100 years, SNC-Lavalin is especially pleased to be teaming up with the McCord Museum, Montreal’s social history museum, in light of the city’s upcoming 375th anniversary.
SNC-Lavalin, along with Dragados and Flatiron, is part of the Signature sur le Saint-Laurent consortium, which is responsible for the design and construction of the New Champlain Bridge Corridor Project, through a private-public partnership with the Government of Canada.
