From offices in over 50 countries, SNC-Lavalin's approximately 35,000 employees provide EPC and EPCM services to clients in a variety of industry sectors, including oil and gas, mining and metallurgy, infrastructure and power.
Our North American employees work on some of the continent’s most important projects. We are Canada’s largest engineering and construction company by revenue and employees, with offices in every province and territory. We were also a key early developer of public-private partnerships (P3s) for Canadian infrastructure projects.
One of SNC-Lavalin’s first major projects in Latin America was the Tintaya copper mine in Peru, built at an altitude of 4,000 metres in the Peruvian Andes in the early 1980s. Since then, we have delivered a large number of major projects, including large-scale mining and metallurgy, power, transmission and distribution and infrastructure facilities. Today, we are one of the largest global engineering firms in the region.
We have been present in Europe for over 40 years, through operations in our three primary markets and business sectors—resources, infrastructure and power—offering the full spectrum of our expertise to create lasting value for our clients.
SNC-Lavalin is highly active in Asia-Pacific, with projects across all our sectors, including mining and metallurgy, oil and gas, mass transit, power, pharmaceuticals and environment and water.
We are a major contributor to the development of the region with over 300 projects executed in the last 10 years worth close to $12 billion.
SNC-Lavalin has been present in Africa since the 1970s when the company was awarded the Mefta cement plant in Algeria.
