The SCADA system offered by SNC-Lavalin
ECS includes telemetry scanning, data processing, output
co-ordination (controlling RTUs, mapboard updates and data
links, and calculated point computation. Operators can directly
interact with the power network through the UI, which manages
all forms of operator data entry and display.
The UI is designed to provide easy access to system status
and functionality, while enhancing the system's speed and
security. Interactive real-time displays present data in
a variety of ways, including graphical, aural, and textual
cues that alert operators to real-time events.
Features:
· GENe SCADA is fully integrated
with our DMS, EMS, GMS, and WMS.
· GENe SCADA supports legacy protocols
and a wide range of industry standard protocols including
DNP 3, IEC-60870-5-101/104, TASE.2 ICCP, ELCOM-90,
DL-476-92, Conitel, and Modbus.
· GENe front-end processors (FEPs) are TCP/IP based and
can be geographically located anywhere on the WAN. They support both synchronous and
asynchronous protocols and RTU communication redundancy
is handled at the channel level.
· GENe FEPs are NOT protocol converters, there is no database
on the FEP. This greatly simplifies maintenance and reduces
potential errors.
· Automatic generation of substation and RTU tabular displays
for greater productivity.
· Large library of dynamic SCADA symbols for rapid production
of graphic displays.
· Powerful and comprehensive calculated points engine with
a library of easy to use functions.
· Rich scripting language for real-time automatic
process control.
· Historical data collection with access using industry standards
such as ODBC and SQL.
· Web-based access to SCADA data and displays using the GENe
Web Server.
· Supports an interface to OSIsoft PI Historian.
