Leinster Nickel Tailings Project – Acid Plant, Western Australia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin is undertaking a pre-feasibility study for a new sulphuric acid plant to be constructed at Leinster for the Leach Plant. The acid plant will have a capacity of 7,000 tpd of sulphuric acid.


Az Zabirah Mine & Refinery FEL2 Study, Saudi Arabia
Description:
This FEL2 (PFS) study is to provide a capital cost estimate to +30%/-10% for the Az Zabirah mine and alumina refinery located in Saudi Arabia.


Boyne Smelters Development Project, Queensland
Description:
This project is in a JV and consists of the development of a new Greenfield carbon (anode) baking furnace and optimisation of Reduction Line 1 & 2 including crane rail and alumina distribution upgrades at Boyne Smelters, Gladstone Aluminium Smelter.


Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter Acid Plant Upgrade, Western Australia, Australia
Description:
In conjunction with Fenco, our in-house Sulphuric Acid Plant experts, SNC-Lavalin is managing a scoping level study to assess the potential incremental capacity increases that can be realised at the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter Acid Plant. The main areas of increased capacity will include the incorporation of a sulphur burner and de-bottlenecking of the existing plant.


Berong Nickel Laterite Project, the Philippines
Description:
SNC-Lavalin is undertaking a scoping study to assess alternative flowsheets for adding value to an existing Lateritic Nickel operation that currently sells Laterite ore directly to the market for Nickel – Pig Iron production. The target production is 20-40,000 tonnes per annum of Nickel in product.


PT INCO HPAL Nickel Processing Facility, Sorowako, Indonesia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin is undertaking a FEL2 pre-feasibility study for the installation of an MSP circuit at the facility.


Burrup Ammonia Project, Western Australia, Australia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia provided the overall EPC services for this project to develop a world-scale, export oriented 2,200 tpd ammonia plant. This plant is located in Karratha, Western Australia.


Goro Nickel Plant,
New Caledonia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia in a JV was awarded the contract to provide services related to the engineering, procurement and construction management of this project. The nickel project will produce 60,000 t/a of nickel from laterite ore.


Alcan Gove Refinery Expansion
Northern Territory, Australia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia and its JV partner were awarded a mandate to complete a definitive feasibility study preliminary to the engineering, procurement and construction management for the proposed expansion of the refinery.


ERA Laterite Plant
Northern Terriroty, Australia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia performed a definitive feasibility study for this project to an intended level of +15% and was subsequently awarded the EPCM contract for the completion. The laterite processing plant will be designed for a feed rate of 60 as-received tones per hour and operate at 79% laterite plant availability all year round.

Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia performed a feasibility study and produced capital and operating cost estimates to +/-15% then provided procurement and technical management services for the design and construction of the facility.


Syerston Nickel and Cobalt Project
New South Wales, Australia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin was responsible for the development of the Syerston Nickel Cobalt Detailed Feasibility Study for Black Range Minerals. The proect was a 25,000 tpa Nickel metal 7,500tpa cobalt metal refinery located in north eastern New South Wales, Australia.


Murrin Murrin
Western Australia, Australia

Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia has been involved in a number of projects for Murrin Murrin, including: the Stage 2 Expansion Feasibility Study, the Flash Tank Retrofit Project, and the Capital Works Project, which is still ongoing. This project involves implementing a number of Brownfield modifications to site.



Ravensthorpe Nickel Project
Western Australia, Australia
Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia completed the front-end engineering design in a JV. The purpose of the work was to develop the process flowsheet, engineering, schedule and cost estimates in sufficient detial to permit detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to proceed without interruption.


Bulong Nickel Project
Western Australia, Australia

Description:
SNC-Lavalin Australia and its two JV partners were retained to complete a feasibility study for this nickel laterite project and were subsequently awarded an EPCM contract. The selected process included High Pressure Acid Leach with direct Solvent Extracting/Electrowinning to produce 9,000 tonnes of nickel and 700 tonnes of cobalt p/a.
